Connor committed the sin of arriving during Newsnight. He meekly fetched a sandwich and sat next to Lester so he didn't obscure the view of the TV. The next thing Lester knew Connor was leaning on his shoulder, snoring. The exhausted look on Connor's face stopped Lester shaking him; instead he eased Connor down to lie on the sofa.
Lester took the easy chair and merely sighed when Sid jumped, chirruping on his knee. He looked around at his once clean and tidy flat. At least no one at the office needed to know the truth about his home life.
