Not on a school night...

I had last night all planned - a little tv, a little fic. Then at about 8ish there was this large bang from outside - sounded like a small artillery piece had been let off. So I go outside to see what's happening and I meet up with Bill and Jan, my neighbours, and a few other neighbours, wondering what the hell just happened. Turned out it was some kids letting off a firework. We've got nearly a month til Bonfire Night and they're already chucking fireworks about. Great!
Anyway, once we'd got that sorted, Bill and Jan invited me back. So I went and Bill poured me this huge glass of red wine - like half a bottle. We sat and chatted and then it turned out that they have a knocked-off dvd of PotC. Which I hadn't seen. (I know, I know - I'm the only person in the world who has managed not to see it.) So I just had to borrow it. And even if it was 10pm by the time I got home, I *had* to watch it. Oh boy! Now I know what everyone's talking about! Slashy or what?
So it was late by the time I got to bed and I only just managed to get up in time this morning. And I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack at the moment, either.
