bigtitch | Primeval S3 Ep6

I enjoyed it. Primeval seems to have got it's crappy-dinosaur-show groove back. I can certainly go with the reduction in angst levels.

I enjoy watching Danny, because he's a lot of fun (and Jason Flemyng is just having the best time playing him). But critically he's just such a Marty-Stu that I want to slap the writers. What does he do when he's not saving the day and being super-wonderful? Run on the spot to keep the world turning?

So apart from the dressy up bits (and what was a research station/hut doing with full evening dress in the cupboard anyway?), and the general larking around. The one safe place Lester could find for his team was in the middle of a mine-field and just *had* to have an anomaly waiting for them! It was a great ep.

Lester was awesome! Just the right mix of confidence and guile. And I do love the way he got applauded at the end. If I was on the ARC staff I'd want him in charge rather than the evil witch Christine any day.

And Becker was really hot and to some purpose this time. I did actually manage a twinge of doubt as to which way he'd jump at the end, although I also half-expected him to shoot the soldier he'd come with to capture Danny and the crew. He's still not Ryan or Stephen, but in the absence of any other hotness to perv over, he'll do.

And speaking of hotness. I wish TFWIC would have some therapy to work out their inadequacy issues regarding hot men. Because they killed off another one - Captain Hotty/Ross. I know he was one of the bad guys, but really he was pretty to look at and I much preferred him to the other evil-sidekick for Christine. Something else to be in denial about I suppose.

Oh and I'd be really grateful if someone could do me an icon of the exploding bird. That would work on so many levels!
